Darts is popular because it's a game any-one can play, but it takes skill and practise to consistently throw those 180's, and if they don't good players know why. As every pub in the land has a dart board and it costs nothing to play you either end up a spectator (even a reluctant one) or a player of sorts. A bit like ten-pin bowling over there, which I believe is considered a sport! how far you go depends on whether you are prepared to practise The ball may be heavier and the action different but if you think Bowling is physically harder you've never tried throwing darts as often as they do in a normal 'game' I wouldn't be able to raise my arm for a week! Even over the usual three games of Tenpin you only have to aim 36 times maximum. I can do that even with Arthritis. I've seen plenty of top class Bowlers who wouldn't look out of place amongst a darts team either! Perhaps because I've never seen a Bowling Alley that didn't have a bar!

Darts began when some guys threw their spears at a spot on a tree. The darts are just smaller now. Its always been a sociable, enjoyable game. The playing area lends itself well to small pubs, as well as any larger establishment.
We love darts in the Colonies, too.
Time, Gentlemen.

England has performed France 27 circumstances and lost 7 England has performed Italy 22 circumstances circumstances and lost 9 England has performed Brazil 23 circumstances and lost 11 England has performed Argentina 14 circumstances and in basic terms lost two times England has performed Spain 22 circumstances and lost 8 With each and each a type of worldwide places England has the two gained or drawn extra beneficial than they have lost - even Brazil. I propose you do you examine. England do no longer compete on the olympics. the united kingdom got here 4th - its terrific ever present day result. thinking the united kingdom could by no potential have a wish of competing against the vast 3 (China, Russia and the US) we did relatively nicely.

Darts is a sport and it is worldwide. Ok its probably not as common as us Brit's would like, but belive it or not, its a hard game to play - unless you practice 8 hours a day like Phil Taylor!
Darts is on the TV because its good!

Darts has only recently been accredited as a sport in the UK.
The players spend as much time practising their sport as any other professional sportsman does.
The hand an eye co-ordination is finely tuned and many players also train physically because it is also an endurance sport.

Darts is a sport here in the UK where you throw arrows at a board that has numbers around number 1 to 20 with Doubles & trebles sections as well as an outer bull & a bull.
What is it to you if it is shown on US TV.
We have to watch your crap sports such as Rounders OOPS (BASEBALL), Touch Rugby OOPS AMERICAN FOOTBALL & you wear pads for it, Netball OOPS BASKETBALL.
You watch what you want & we will watch what we want whatever sport we like to watch or participate in.
Know I'm not getting top answer for this. but who cares. I got 2 points. HAHAHAHAHA

It is a sport! The players are at the height of physical fitness, for example see Andy 'The Viking' Fordham - he's an example to us all.
It should be in the Olympics!!!
