True wrestling (such as Olympic Wrestling) is an actual competition. Professional Wrestling is scripted.



Both require alot athleticism, so I think that is why it is considered a sport. However, the only real sport is High School, and Olympic wrestling.

By that definition it would be considered a sport. Fixed or not, it is still athletic competition.

I wouldn't consider it a sport, but there is certainly a fair amount of athleticism and talent involved.

The story lines are fictional and the performers aren't really out to hurt one another, but it's not 'fake.'
