Ping-Pong is a brand and registered trademark - owned by Escalade Sports (http://www.escaladesports.com/). Ping-Pong branded table tennis equipment is sold exclusively through Sports Authority.

Table Tennis is a sport. Check out this video for more information http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8CCsiwt1nw

Ping Pong is different to Table tennis.

Ping pong involves hitting the ball on your side first. Table tennis is hitting the ball directly over the net.

Ping pong is a child's term, and is used incorrectly very often. Also, table tennis is an Olympic and Commonwealth Games sport.Ping pong is not. Thus, a game rather than a sport. TT can be played competitively, but to my knowledge PP is not.
