Hi I am 12 and play darts with my dad in my room. I am not bad but I usually miss the number i want to hit. How do I get better?

Practise! practise! practise! that's the only way there are no short cuts, round the board is a good starting point then learn to count and work out the finishes GOOD LUCK

remember to experiment with different techniques and find the best technique for you. Practice is key as well. Always have a good base don't go on your tip toes. And tungsten darts help as well
a good starter game is around the world and you start and 1 then need to hit all the numbers in order and if you want to make it difficult it has to end with bull or when you get really good you have to hit a treble or double

Oooh, join the club. I used to be quite good. I need lighter darts. The ones I've got are 23g, but I'm better with the smaller (pro) ones. Try buying different darts is my best advice. And practise..

One way of improving hand eye coordination is by learning to juggle.I'm a professional juggler/clown,and if I play pool or darts after Ive been juggling ,then I'm almost unbeatable.Theres loads of info out there on learning to juggle. Will be back with a link.
Of course you have to practise your darts obsessively also.

Its just a matter of lots of practice and ask a professional on techniques on throwing and how you hold the dart.

Practice, start drinking beer and eating loads of fatty foods until you weigh about 30 stone, you will find that when you try and hold your arms above your head they will be at the correct height for you to throw a treble 20 !

throw a dart into the boared they get the other 2 as near to it as you can, when you have learned how to do this go for the 20,remember throw your first dart then throw the other 2 as near to the first one as you can, eric bristow told me this is how he learned we are training my son in this way now he is 7,we go to all the darts tournement you get to meet all the players its brilliant

Practise makes perfect. If that fails, try drinking your dad's beer and wearing lots of gold!

Make sure you're looking exactly at the number you're aiming for and imagine you're trying to throw your hand at that number. If you follow through with your hand it should improve your accuracy
