Whilst on holiday in Europe, I saw briefly a sport on TV which looked the same or v.similar as squash, but the players were using their hands to hit the ball rather than a raquet? What is the sport?? I'm desperate to give it a go, so also are there any clubs etc in England or any interest in the sport at all?

Sounds like Handball to me (not team handball, which is the handball on the yahoo forums, but handball as in using your hand to hit the ball into the wall.). I think it is more popular in America than it is in Europe of the British Isles.

this is America! You can do anything you want. but for one, you wont have much success. A squash racket is designed to hit a ball much smaller and lighter than a tennis ball. So just on shear power alone, you wont have much success. Plus, you would probably damage the racket since that extra weight on the racket would start to bend and eventually break it. and dont get me started with the smaller head size.

It's called handball, here in Ireland in some towns they have tournaments and stuff, it's a good game....
