I know its not really fast, I'm 13 and I ran the 100m sprint in pe today in 16 seconds. Is that fast, normal or slow? Also, I ran the 1500m in 7:35, also fastest in my school, are these times fast, considering I'm 13?

That is actually kind of slow. I used to run low 12's high 11's and I made it past the district meets but that wasn't good enough for getting to state.

no offense...but your 100m time is pretty slow. I'm 14 and I'm not good at sprints...but i can get around 14 seconds. I've never ran a 1500m.....but i got a 6:44 in the 1600m (which is actually farther) Just keep on trying to get faster and join a track team if possible. hope this helps :)

Don't listen to what anyone tells you, that's not slow at all, anything below 12.5 seconds is physically impossible to run in unless you have a boat load of fast-twitch muscle fibers in your legs, or you're tall and have longer arms. 14-18 seconds is average and not slow in 100 meters, fast is anything under 12 or 13 seconds, especially for your age. There's no way that you can run a mile in 6 minutes and run under 12 seconds in 100 meters without proper training, good development physically or you're that natural at running then you should choose that as your career. Believe it or not, very few people are running low 12s or high 13s in 100 meters, so don't get discouraged if you're only running it in 16-18 seconds.

If your the fastest at your school, then 16 seconds in 100m is really good
