This is the career I was looking at, I was hoping to finish College and go onto university to have a career as a personal trainer. Anyone know if it is good pay, does it depend on how good you are and how many clients you have? I was told it is bad pay, anyone know? Thanks.

It depends on a lot. Where your working, both the type of gym and geographically. A private gym would make you more money then say, a local YMCA. Also, living in an area where people can afford costly training sessions also affects it.

There are a lot of certifications you can take that will get you to be a personal trainer without four years of college. I am fairly familiar with the AFAA trainings, and recommend them. Although they are costly, you will get your moneys worth. I would suggest looking into those before you embark on this journey.

It's a lot more than just telling someone to do some bicep curls. Theres a lot of things to learn, including anatomy. For me, it was worth it. I love working in the fitness industry. Goodluck!
