I personally believe there isn't as I barrack for the Western Bulldogs (AFL) while still support the Melbourne Victory(Soccer) I ask because there are 4 football codes. AFL (which has at least 1 game in every part of Australia, even though there is no official AFL Northern Territory team, Tasmanian team (Hawks and NM don't count) or a team in ACT. Then there is NRL which is morely NSW and QLD but get to play for Australia, Rugby Union (same as NRL) and finally the A-League (Soccer.) there is then basketball, hockey, netball and baseball (all which i think aren't the main sports compared to the 4 footy codes) I almost forgot there is also cricket which then leads to play for Australia in T/20, ODI or Test. So with that what is the main 'Sporting Code of Australia'

There are several sports Australia excel at, but the "national" sport is AFL (Aussie Rules Football).
