Cricket is richer based on the fact you have a rabid fan following in India and how lucrative it's based on the new 20/20 league.

Cricket enjoys strong support in areas of world such as South Asia (India, Pakistan and etc) South Africa and Australia as well as the West Indies. As well as England.

Volleyball is more then just an Olympic sport as it's big in Brazil ,Japan and parts of Europe like Russia, Italy, Greece , Turkey and Eastern Europe where they have pro leagues. Volleyball is also played in China where cricket is unknown.

Lastly in North America Cuba is a big volleyball playing country and in the USA you have over 200 colleges that have volleyball teams, but know indoor pro league only beach.

World Wide Beach Volleyball tour sponsored by Swatch where a top team can earn $1 million or in the $100,000's.
